Lenora M. Wheeler, 91, of Portland died November 10, 1998.  She was born in 
Saunemin, Ill., May 2, 1907.  Mrs. Wheeler was a longtime resident of Portland 
and a member of Portland Seventh Day Adventist Church.  Not only was she a 
grandmother to her family, but to other children as well.

Surviving are daughters, Ruth Murphy of Glove, Ariz., Alice Jean Sipperley of 
Portland, Anna Mae (Harvey) Stegeman of Wyoming, Carolyn (Richard) Wagner of 
Nashville, and Charlene Wheeler of Portland; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-
grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Monie Shafer of 
Grayling; and many nieces, nephews, and special friends.  She was preceded in 
death by her husband of 55 years, Charles.

Services were held Nov. 13 at the Gorsline-Runciman Neller Chapel in Portland, 
with Lyle Davis of Portland Seventh Day Adventist Church officiating.
