The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, July 6, 1937

Donald F. Wheeler, 79, died at his home on North Jackson street Tuesday noon 
after an illness of the past several weeks.  He was born on April 10, 1858, in 
Tamworth, Ont., Can., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Luke Wheeler.  In March, 1900, 
he was married at Gun Bridges, Mont., to Miss Jennie Cox, and to this union 
were born three children, two of whom died in infancy.  He was a member of the 
Church of Christ in Ionia, and also of the IOOF.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Jennie Wheeler; one daughter, Miss Ann Wheeler, 
of Lansing; one sister, Mrs. Frances Wells, of Ontario.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the 
home, with Rev. C. A. Brady, of the Church of Christ officiating.  Burial will 
be at Highland Park.
