She had been in ill health for some time. Born March 4, 1865, at Cottingham, Cambridge-Shire, England, she came to Ionia when she was about 14 years of age with her parents, Job and Sarah Cox. She married Donald Wheeler at Twin Bridge, Mont. He died July 6 1937, in Ionia. They made their home in Ionia on North Jackson street for many years. After his death she went to Lansing to stay with her daughter. She was a member of the Ionia Church of Christ, and was active in the church work and the church missionary society. Surviving are the daughter, Ann Francis; two sisters, Mrs. Anna C. Dow and Miss Hilda Cox, of Detroit; and three brothers, Albert, of Detroit; Fred, of Grand Rapids, and Ben, of Ionia. Rev. G. A. Brady officiated at the services, and interment was held at Highland Park cemetery. Bearers were Gerald Cox, Howard Sprague, Stuart Cox and Horace Cox.
