Ionia Daily Standard - Wed. Nov. 23, 1898

The remains of Jessie M., the four months old child of Mr. and Mrs. LaVerne 
Wheeler, of Chicago, arrived here at noon yesterday, accompanied by the 
parents. Funeral services were held at the residence of Mrs. Wheeler's brother, 
Col. J.H. Mitchell, north Rich street, conducted by Rev. W.H. Thomas, D.D., 
rector of St. John's church. The burial was in the Mitchell family lot in 
Highland Park. Mrs. Wheeler's mother, Mrs. H.L. Mitchell, and brother, Stephen 
M. Mitchell of Lansing, were her to attend the funeral and returned home this 
morning.
