Miss Elsie Wheeler, 73, former Woodland township resident died Tuesday 
afternoon at 1:30 at the home of her niece, Mrs. Orlo Thomas, 8201 Cherry 
Valley road, Caledonia, after an extended illness.

Born August 12, 1883 in Barry county, she was the daughter of Herman and Martha 
Wheeler and was employed as a dietician at the South Haven City hospital for 
about 15 years.  Later she was employed as a dietician at Pennock hospital in 
Hastings.  For the past 12 years she had spent her winters in Florida.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Ira (Bertha) Cotton of Woodland and Mrs. Roscoe 
(Nettie) Hynes of Lake Odessa.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Pickens funeral chapel Thursday 
afternoon at 3:30.  Burial will be in Woodland Memorial cemetery.
