Portland Review - Dec. 16, 2012

Kathryn C. Wheeler, 92, passed away Monday, November 26, 2012 at Englewood 
Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Portland, MI, Kathryn was a WWII Army 
Veteran.

She retired as Chief Operator with Indiana Bell (Verizon) for 30 years, and 
also from St. Joseph Hospital as billing supervisor after 10 years. She was a 
member of St. Peter Catholic Church and their choir. She was an active 
volunteer for Parkview Hospital and as an usher at the Embassy Theater. She 
enjoyed crossword puzzles, singing and traveling. Kathryn was preceded in death 
by parents, Leon and Clara Wheeler, three brothers and one sister.

A Memorial Mass of Kathryn will be held at 5:30 p.m. January 3, 2013 at St. 
Peter Catholic Church. Memorials may be made to St. Peter Catholic Church Food 
Bank. D.O. McComb and Son's is handling arrangements.
