REV. E.M. WHEELER DIED SUN.

HASTINGS-  The Rev. E.M. Wheeler, 65, pastor of the Jefferson Street United 
Brethren church, died Sunday while changing a tire on his car while returning to 
Hastings from a trip to the home of his daughter at Dutton. 

He had been a member of the Michigan UB conference 31 years, serving pastorates 
in Grand Rapids, Charlotte, Caledonia, Woodland, Freeport, Sunfield, Climax, 
Woodbury and Hastings.

Surviving are the widow, two daughters, Mrs. George Huizenga at Dutton and Mrs. 
Orlo Thomas at Caledonia. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the 
Kilpatrick church and burial was in the Woodland cemetery.
