The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, July 10, 1950


Amon R. Wheeler, 72, died Saturday evening at Muskegon where he moved in 
1949.  He lived in Lyons for many years.  He was born December 27, 1877, in 
Montcalm county.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Addie Luce and Mrs. Edward Silleo of Lake 
City and Mrs. Leon Wilson of Manton, and one brother, Harrison of Dalton.  
Another brother, Herbert, formerly of Lyons, died two months ago of a heart 
attack at his home in Adrian.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 12, at 2 p.m. at the Shaw-Rivett 
funeral home in Muir.  The Rev. Myron Hoyt will officiate.  Interment will be 
in Lyons cemetery.
