DORIS ELEANOR WHEELOCK-HALLER 1942-2016
Doris Eleanor (Birman) Wheelock-Haller, age 92, of Saranac, Michigan, passed 
away and immediately was in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She 
was the daughter of the late James Luther and Ethel Lodema (Neeb) Birman.

Doris married Joseph Fredrick Wheelock on Dec. 18, 1942. He preceded her in 
death in 1994.

They had a servant's heart and were very involved in various ministries within 
their Churches at Clarksville Wesleyan, Lowell Church of the Nazarene 
Brookville, Wesleyan (FL), and West Berlin Wesleyan. In 2001 Doris married Royal 
Haller, who also preceded her in death in 2006.

Doris was the last family member of her generation. She was dearly loved and 
will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, 
great-great-grandchildren for the loving person she was and for all the fond 
memories made at her family's centennial farm; however, her main priority was 
for her descendants to know Jesus christ as their personal savior.

She is survived by her children, Bruce Duane (Marge ) Wheelock of Gardner, CO, 
Jeanne Jo (Edwin) Hare of Wyoming,MI, Marilyn Joy (Art) Williams of San Antonio, 
TX., and Marla Kay Denise (Terry) Life of Mineral Wells, WV; step-children Gary 
Haller and Toni Haller; grandchildren Pam (Ron) Zerfas, Patty (Gordon) 
Gilchrist, Shane (Collette) Wheelock, Bryan (Erin) Hare, Shelly (Tim) Doezema, 
April Wheelock, Jon hare, Matthew (Kim) Hare, Allison (Josh) Smith, Aaron 
Williams, Eric (Amanda) Life, Stephen (Laura) Williams, and Tracie (Hunter) 
Sams; step-grandchildren (Don) Lori Shephard and Todd(Donna) Haller; 36 great-
grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husbands, Doris was preceded in death by two sisters, 
Edith (Gaylord) Stevenson and Lucille (Velmont) Brauner, and grandchildren James 
"Jamie V" Wheelock and Ranae Lamb.

Service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016, 11 AM at West Berlin Wesleyan 
Church with Pastor Mark Lipscomb officiating. Visitations will be Wednesday from 
4-7 PM at Lake Funeral Home in Saranac and 10-11 AM at the church prior to 
services. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to West Berlin Wesleyan
