Lake Odessa Scrapbook - September 1905

Myrtle Belle Wheelock was born in the township of Berlin, Ionia CO., Mich., 
March 25th, 1904, and died at the home of her grandfather Lewis Birman, in 
September 20,1905. She was the only child of Levi and Martha Wheelock and also 
the only grandchild of Mr. and Mrs. Birman and was loved and petted by the entire 
family. She suffered intensely during her short sickness which lasted only five 
days and as there were no hopes from the first for her recovery it was a relief 
to those who loved her when the messenger come and her pain was over.

The death of the little one seems doubly sad as the mother is sick in bed and 
during nearly the entire illness of the baby has been unable to assist in her 
card.
