Services for Mary H. Whipple

Mrs. Mary H. Whipple, 79, of Hastings died Monday afternoon at the Barry County 
Medical Facility where she had been a patient four years.

Mrs. Whipple was born in Albion in November 1892 and married Lewis Vandewater of 
Albion, who died in 1928. In 1931 she married Burnis Whipple of South Lyons and 
for the past 20 years had lived in Hastings.

Mrs. Whipple is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Geraldine Taylor of 
Clarksville and Mrs. Roy Basler of Hastings; two sons, Bernard and Robert 
Vanderwater of Grand Rapids; nine grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Her body reposes at Pickens Funeral Chapel in Clarksville where services will be 
held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 with Rev. Arthur Ruder officiating. Burial will 
be in Clarksville Cemetery.
