She was born September 24, 1888, in Eureka township, Montcalm county, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Rossman. As a girl she attended school in Eureka township and in the city of Greenville. She was married October 21, 1908, to Harry Whipple and they started housekeeping in Eureka township on the Rossman farm. After two years there they moved to Orleans township where they resided for one year. They then moved back to Eureka township and lived for three months on a farm near the Rossman farm. After residing nearly a year in Greenville and in Orleans township for four years, they moved to Easton township where they have resided for the past 18 years. Mrs. Whipple was a member of the State Road club and also of the Dildine community club. Funeral services will be held from the home in Easton township Monday morning at 11 o’clock with Rev. St. Clair Parsons, pastor of the Greenville Congregational church officiating. ----- Funeral services for Mrs. Bernice Whipple, wife of Harry Whipple, of Easton township, who died early Friday morning, were held from the home in Easton township Monday morning at 11 o’clock. Rev. St. Clair Parsons, pastor of the Greenville Congregational church, conducted the services, and bearers were Alva Hill, Herbert Ward, Ora Decker, Herman Haney, Ray Clifford and Claude Longstreet. The many floral offerings were in charge of Mrs. Bessie Bluemly and Mrs. Herman Haney. Interment was at the Otisco cemetery. Besides the many friends and relatives from Easton township and vicinity, attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Burr Whipple, of Greenville.
