White, a pioneer of Orange, passed away Saturday afternoon at her home on Elm street. La grippe was the cause of her death. Mary Wright was born near Clyde, O., and spent all of her early life there. Shortly after her marriage to Henry McIntyre, in 1847, the family moved to Orange where they resided until Mr. McIntyre’s death in 1863. In later years she married John White and since his death, which occurred six years ago, she had been living in the village. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ada Pilkinton and Miss Anna McIntyre, both of Portland, a brother, H. A. Wright, of Mt. Pleasant, and a sister, Mrs. R. J. Ritenburg, of Orange. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30, at the house, Rev. Skentelbury officiating. Those who attended from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Moore, of Eaton Rapids and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pilkinton, of Ionia. Mrs. White was 88 years old and was the grand daughter of a Revolutionary soldier.
