Dora Jean (Dody) White, 71, of Lyons, passed away May 16, 2002 in Lansing.  She 
was born March 8, 1931 in Saranac, the daughter of Leslie and Elda (Glick) 
Gladding.  She would go on to marry Tom White April 11, 1946, in Lansing.

Dody was a member of the Disabled Veterans Auxiliary.  She also enjoyed 
antiques and garage-saleing.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Tom White, of Lyons; her mother, 
Elda Adkins of Muir; son, Floyd White of Grand Ledge; daughter, Gay Fletcher of 
Hubbardston; brother Wayne (Marge) Gladding of Portland; sisters Joan (Don) 
DeFeyter of Bath and Gloria Steep of Casper, Wyoming; grandchildren Tommy 
Witzel, Pepper Jones, Burt White and Ashley Fletcher; great-grandchildren 
Hollie Jones and Wyatt Witzel; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Leslie Gladding; step-father Jim 
Adkins; and brother Martin Gladding.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday at Lake Funeral Home - Hull 
Memorial Chapel in Muir.  Interment in Lyons Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 
2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.
