The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, October 29, 1962

Mrs. Martha J. White, 63, of 1242 Yeomans street, died Sunday at Ionia County 
Memorial hospital after a long illness.  She had resided in Ionia the past 23 
years and previously lived in Six Lakes where she was born October 3, 1899.

Survivors include her husband, Robert S. White to whom she wad married in 
1923; four daughters, Mrs. Virgil Abbott of Edmore, Mrs. Laura Randall of 
Saranac, and Mrs. Vern Smith and Mrs. James Bennett of Ionia; three sons, 
Charles R. White of Stanton and Samuel A. and Pirl L. White of Ionia; 34 
grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at Stebbins 
funeral home in Sheridan with interment at Clear Lake cemetery.  The Rev. 
Harold A. Jayne of Ionia First Methodist church will officiate.
