Marjorie L. White, 89, of rural Greenville, died Tuesday morning Sept. 9, 2008.

Marjorie was born on Jan. 7, 1919 in Easton Township, Ionia County the daughter 
of Thomas H. and Grace K. DeGraw Edlin. She graduated from Ionia High School 
with the Class of 1939. During World War II Marjorie worked at the AC Spark 
Plug Factory in Ionia. She loved to cook, sew and enjoyed travel. Marjorie 
loved listening to music and spending time with her family. She was married on 
Aug. 18, 1948 in Indiana to Leslie E. White and he preceded her on Oct. 19, 
1953.
Marjorie was also preceded by her parents; two brothers, Charles D. Edlin and 
Dale T. Edlin; two sisters, Pauline B. Larsen and Ethelyn G. Kimble and a son, 
Richard White in 1989.

Marjorie is survived by her son Douglas H. (Janice) White of Greenville; her 
granddaughter, Jennifer Mortensen and fiancé Eric Kamp; her great-grandsons, 
Zachary Mortensen and Aiden Kamp; her sister, Irene Edlin and a brother-in-law, 
Norman B. Kimble of Ionia.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Greenville Church of the 
Nazarene with Pastor Tim DeShaw officiating. Interment will follow in Easton 
Township Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Johnson-
Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. Memorial contributions may be given to the
