Richard L. White, 38, of Manhattan Beach, Calif., former Belding resident, died
Saturday at University of California Medical Center following kidney transplant
surgery.  Born Feb. 25, 1951, in Saranac, he was the son of Leslie and Marjorie
Edlin White.  He was graduated from Belding High School and had a master’s
degree from Michigan State University in mechanical engineering.  He was
employed as an engineer by Aero-Space Corporation of Los Angeles.

Surviving are: his mother, Marjorie White of Belding; a brother Douglas White of
Belding; and four aunts, Ethlyn Kimble of Saranac, Pauline Larsen of Charlotte,
Irene Edlim of Belding and Ruth Edlim of Ionia.  He was preceded in death by his
father in 1953.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. from Johnson Funeral Home, the Rev.
Ray Shepard officiating.  Burial will be in Easton cemetery.  The family will be
at the funeral home Friday from 6 to 9 p.m.  Memorials have been established for
the National Kidney Foundation and the First Baptist Church of Belding in care
of the funeral home.
