White, 89, of New Orleans, La., formerly of Saranac, died Sunday, February 21. He married Dorothea Becker, who preceded him in death. He is survived by one daughter, Pearl W. Descant, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. White, a railroad foreman, was a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees Union, a life member of the American Legion Post No. 175 of Saranac. He was also a veteran of World War I, the Mexican Border Conflict and World War II. White was involved in the Wolverine Post Card Club and the Texas Post Card Club as well. Funeral services were held on February 23 with his burial taking place in the Biloxi National Cemetery, in Biloxi, Miss.
