Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 21 Jul 1961

Mrs. Jocie E. White, 58, of 318 ˝ West Main street, a resident of Ionia 25
years, died Thursday at University hospital in Ann Arbor where she had been a
patient 36 days.  She had been ill for months.  Born in Marion, Ind., August 30,
1902, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Williams.

She is survived by a son, Franklin White of Ionia; five daughters, Mrs. Dale
Mier and Mrs. Wayne Meeuwsen of Ionia, Mrs. Milvin Ingersol of Belding, Mrs.
Melvin Beebe of Portland, and Mrs. William O’Bryant of Charlotte; 17
grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Aurela Byard of Levering, and Mrs. Fred Reed of
Ft. Wayne, Ind.  Two children preceded her in death.

Service will be at Myers funeral home Monday at 3 p.m. with interment at
Highland Park cemetery.  The Rev. John Tennyson, pastor of First Baptist church
will officiate.
