Lawrence W. White, Sr., 83, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2014.  He was born on 
January 25, 1931 in Lyons, Michigan, the son of Francis and Susan (Hopkins) 
White. 

Mr. White was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy.  Lawrence loved to hunt and 
fish, and enjoyed bargain hunting, always looking for good deals.  He loved his 
family very much. 

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife Claire Leona in 1998; son Duane 
William in 1995; 12 siblings.  Surviving are his sons, Lawrence (Kate) White, 
Jr., and Norbert (Ted Greenwood) White; six grandchildren; 11 great 
grandchildren. 

A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the John 
C. Blanchard House, 253 East Main Street, Ionia, Michigan.  Interment will take 
place at Highland Park Cemetery.  Arrangements are entrusted to Lehman Funeral 
Homes, Ionia.
