Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Saturday, April 1, 2000

Ellen M. White, 73, of Muir, passed away March 30, 2000, at Carson City 
Hospital.

She was born July 20, 1926 in Belding, the daughter of Elan and Lena (LaFond) 
Oberlin.

She married Stanley White on June 6, 1946. He preceded her in death in 1988.

She worked at the Chrysler plant in Lyons for over 20 years until it closed in 
1979.  She was a life member of the Lyons Ladies Auxiliary Post 4646.

She is survived by her sons, Kirk White of Muir, Chris and Mary White of Muir; 
daughter, Pamela (Jerrold) Womboldt of Muir; sister, Phyllis and William 
Erickson of Muskegon; loving grandchildren, Jodi and John Schwab of Muir, Jerry 
and Casey Womboldt of Ionia, Jason Quick of Muir, Pamela White of Muir, Christi 
White of Muir, Christopher (Stub) White of Muir, Elan White and Megan White of 
Rochester Hills; and five great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by granddaughter, Casey White in 1988; two brothers, 
Dean Oberlin and Junior (Spud) Oberlin.

Funeral services for Mrs. White will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Lake 
Funeral Homes, Hull Memorial Chapel in Muir. Interment in Oakwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. 
and on Monday from 12 noon until the time of funeral services.

A luncheon will be served at the Lyons VFW Hall following the services.
