Edwin James White
Requiem Mass will be said for Edwin James White, who died in Traverse City Sunday 
evening, in St. John's Episcopal church Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock by
Arch-Deacon Vercoe, of Grand Rapids. Interment will fellow in Highland Park Cemetery.

Mr.  White was born on the Isle of Jersey 79 years ago, where for 40 years he served
as the registrar for the Church of England at St.  Paul's Church at Canonburg.  In 1920 he
came to the United States to make his home with his son, Rev. Edwin G. White, then living at

Aurora-on-Cayuga, N. Y., coming here when Rev. White became Rector of the Ionia 
Episcopal church. Ten months ago he went to Traverse City for hospital treatment.

Besides Rev. White he leaves a son, Gordon W. White, and two daughters, Mrs. Bessie
Brayne and Mrs. Letitia White, of England.

EDWIN JAMES WHITE
With Arch-Deacon Vercoe, of Grand Rapids, the celebrant, and Den Jackson, of Grand 
Rapids reading the burial office, the funeral services were conducted Tuesday
morning at St. John's episcopal church for Edwin James White, and the interment took place in
the Highland Park cemetery.  Dr. T. H. Montgomery, Asa M. Burnett, Jay VanSickle, K. R.
Smith, Jr., and Harry Warnes served as bearers. Mr. White, the father of Rev. Edwin G.
White, rector of St. Johns's Episcopal church, died Sunday evening following several months
of illness.
