ERMINIE WHITE DIED THURSDAY
Mrs. Erminie L. White, Ionia County registrar of deeds for the past 15 months, died
Thursday night at the home of her son, Ned at Saranac. She had been absent from her
office for several months.

She was formerly employed in the office of Veteran Affairs and later transferred to
the County Treasurer's office as clerk.

In 1948 she was appointed by deputy county Treasurer Kathleen Maloney and held that
position until she assumed the registrar of deeds duties January first, 1955.

Mrs. White was a member of the Methodist Church and past president of the American 
Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving are four sons, Don F. Jr. and Hugh E. of Belleville, Ned and Foss both of
Saranac and six grandchildren. Her husband Don died in 1946.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon. Rev. Heath Goodwin of Ionia and Rev.
Glenn McCarty of Saranac officiated with burial in the North Plains cemetery.
