Gladys L. White Passes Away

Mrs. Gladys L. White, 56, passed away Tuesday morning at Pennock Hospital, 
Hastings, where she was hospitalized for four days.

A native of Loda, Ill., she came to the Sunfield area when a small girl with her 
parents, Henry and Rosa Beland. A graduate of Sunfield High school, she married 
Ralph White, September 14th, 1929 and moved here from Sunfield 16 years ago.

Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Evelyn) Walsh of Ionia; two 
grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Rose Beland of Lake Odessa; two sisters; Mrs. 
Allen (Leah) Cross, rural Portland and Mrs. Edgar (Rose) Fleetham of Sunfield; 
and two brothers, Henry Beland in Lake Odessa and Thomas of Holt. 

Mrs. White reposes at the Pickens Chapel where services will be held Thursday 
(today) at 1:30 with burial in the Sunfield cemetery. Rev. Luther Brokaw is 
officiating.
