                               GERALD H. WHITE

IONIA-Gerald H. White, 75, of 138 Holiday Drive, Ionia, died at Ingham Medical 
Center,Lansing, Aug.9.

He was the son of Claude and Edith Rohloff White and was born in Odessa township 
March 23, 1912. He attended Lake Odessa schools and was married to Mary Smejkal 
June 16,1938, at Ionia.

He was employed for 38 years by Complete Auto Transit of Flint and was awarded 
driver of the year awards two different years for driving 1,750,000 miles 
without an accident.

He was member of SS Peter and Paul Church.

Surviving are his wife Mary; one daughter, Mrs.Ron (Linda) Shoal of Grand Ledge, 
a son, Gerald F.White of Muir; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 
four sisters,Lucille Thorpe of Rodney, Gayla Erridge of Leroy, Kathleen Brunson 
of Sarasota, Fla., and Jean Dadd of Lansing; one brother, Richard White of Ionia 
and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be held at SS Peter and Paul Church, Ionia Wednesday at 11 
a.m. 

Burial will be in Mt.Olivet Cemetery.

The family was at the Rich Chapel of Montgomery Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon 
and evening and rosary was said at 8 p.m.
