                        LENA M. WHITE

IONIA-Lena M.White, 63, of 316 North Street, Ionia, died early Friday at Ionia 
County Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Montcalm County Jan. 12, 1924, the daughter of Cecil and Gladys 
Sebring Barber and lived all her life in Ionia.

She was married to Howard white May 2, 1944, in Greenville.

Surviving are her husband Howard "Bud" White; a son, Carl, of Ionia; and three 
daughters, Roberta Moore of Ionia, Beverly Vosurgh of Grand Rapids and Peggy 
Taylor of Fenwick; 13 grandchildren six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ray 
Barber  of Saranac and Jack Barber of Stanton; a sister, Pauline Burns of Ionia.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter,Nancy Underhill, Nov. 6, 1976, and 
two brothers and a sister.

Cremation had taken place.

Graveside services will be held at Balcom Cemetery Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the 
Rev. Burtch officiating.

A memorial has been stablished for the American Cancer Society, in care of Lake 
Funeral Home, which made arrangements.
