Ionia Sentinel Standard - Thurs. April 19, 1973

                                WALTER H. WHITE

Walter H. White, 64, of 943 West Main died early Thursday morning at Ionia 
County Memorial Hospital after being a patient two weeks.

Born in Belding June 13, 1908, he was the on of William and Jennie Chapman 
White.He had lived in Belding, Detroit and Hubbardston where he graduated from 
high School.

He was then employed at Reynolds Spring Factory in jackson.

November 11, 1933 he was married in Hubbardston to Florence M.Drake.He moved to 
Ionia in 1936, making his home here since. He had lived his present address the 
past 30 years.

He began work at Ionia State Hospital in 1937 retiring as Ward Supervisor in 
1965 due to ill health.

Surviving are his wife, Florence; thee sons, William of Coon Rapids, Minn., 
Bernard of Marshall and Benjamin of Frankenmuth; 12 grandchildren; twos sisters, 
Mrs. Ellen Sandborn of Hubbardston, Mrs.Gertrude Briggs of Coldwater.

Funeral services will be Monday at 1 p.m at Leddick Funeral Home. Rev. Charles 
Fullmer of First United Methodist Church will officiate and interment will be at 
Balcom Cemetery.

Funeral Services for Walter H.White, who died Thursday morning were Monday at 1 
pm in Ionia. Rev.Charles Fullmer of First United Methodist church officiated and 
interment was at Balcom Cemetery.

Bearers were Fred Collins, Eugene Suomi, Howard McGowen, Leslie Sykes, Clarence 
Parks and Charles Richardson.
