White, 77, 406 Forest Street, died early Wednesday morning at Ionia County Memorial hospital. Mr. White had been in ill health four years. He had resided with his daughter, Mrs. Durwood Thorpe. Born in Lyons township January 16, 1883, he was the son of Henry and Emma Utter White. He married Edith Raloff in Ionia, May 16, 1903 and they resided in Odessa township before moving to Ionia in 1928. Mrs. White died in March of 1949. Mr. White was a retired farmer and employee of Ionia Manufacturing company. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Emma Nichols of Ionia; four daughters, Mrs. Durwood (Lucille) Thorpe and Mrs. Richard (Gayla) Erridge of Ionia, Mrs. Donald (Kathleen) Brunson of Sarasota, Florida, and Mrs. Lester (Jean) Dadd of Lansing; two sons, Gerald and Richard White of Ionia, 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Two sons preceded him in death, Alvin in 1934 and Galen in 1955. Service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Myers funeral home with interment at Lakeside cemetery. The Rev. Floyd Emshwiller will officiate. Subsequent Publication: Monday, June 27, 1960 Service was held Saturday afternoon at Myers funeral home for Claude H. White who died early Wednesday morning at Ionia County Memorial hospital. He had been in ill health four years. The Rev. Emshwiller, pastor of the First Christian church, officiated and interment was at Lakeside cemetery, Lake Odessa. Bearers were grandsons of Mr. White; Larry Vincent, Wayne Winslow, Ronald and Richard Erridge, and Gerald White of Ionia, and Larry Dadd of Lansing. Friends and relatives who attended were Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Chambers of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Ethel Thorp of Sebewa, Rev. and Mrs. Albert Roloff of Adrian; Mr. and Mrs. Amos Sterzick, Mr. and Mrs. William Sterzick and family, and Mrs. and Mrs. Clare Hafner of Alto; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smejkal of Owosso, and B.
