Mr. and Mrs. Harry Warnes of Ionia, received word Tuesday of the death of Rev. Edwin
G. 
White in London, England on Monday, August 23. He died unexpectedly of a severe
heart 
attack. Fr. White was formerly rector of the St. John''s Episcopal church in Ionia.
He 
had taken Mrs. White and their daughter Louise, to visit relatives in England,
having 
arrived there August 15 and planned to sail back September 3. The news came as a
great 
shock to their son Edgar, in Brooklyn, who wired Mr. and Mrs. Warnes in order that
his 
many friends and parishioners who knew him might learn of his death and think of him

now as the same priest they knew going to assume higher duties.
