Ionia Sentinel Standard, 11 Nov 1977

Claude P. White, 54, of 332 Colby, died suddenly at his home Wednesday.  He was
born April 4, 1923 in Lyons, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis L. White.  A 20
year veteran of the Army, he had lived in Ionia since retiring in May, 1962.

Survivors include four sons, Douglas of Marquette; George F. and Elmer L. of
Moody, Texas and Claude P. of Temple Texas; three brothers, Elmer of Ionia,
Frank of Portland, and Lawrence E. of Delton; three sisters, Flossie Donnelly,
Edith Scarbrough and Ellen Shattuck of Ionia and three grandchildren.

Services are Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Myers-Roetman funeral home with burial
in Highland park cemetery.  The family will receive friends and relatives at the
funeral home Thursday and Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
