White, 84, of Lake Odessa, died Wednesday evening at the St. Lawrence hospital at Lansing where he had been a patient since Monday. Born at Charlotte March 20, 1891, he was the son of George and Mary White. May 24, 19020 he was married to Vara Sterling at Blenheim, Ontario, Canada, and they moved to Lake Odessa in 1934. He had previously lived at Woodland several years and was a former employee of the Lake Odessa Canning Company. His wife died February 23, 1974. He was a veteran of World War I and a former member of the Lakeside World War I barracks. Among his survivors are a son, Alfred (Joe) White of Lake Odessa; four daughters, Mrs. Esther Rearick of Lansing, Mrs. Mary Thompson of Grand Ledge, Mrs. Blanch Piercefield and Mrs. Audrey Misner of Lake Odessa; 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Pickens-Koops funeral chapel at Lake Odessa. Interment will be at the Lakeside cemetery.
