The Ionia Standard, Friday, September 4, 1896


The sad news was received here Wednesday morning that Mrs. E. T. White, wife 
of the clothier, E. T. White, was no more.  Owing to a complication of 
diseases, she had been an invalid several months.  A few weeks ago she went to 
visit her mother, Mrs. WM. Fitch, in Portland, and for a time her health 
seemed to improve, but about a week ago she was taken worse, and no power 
seemed to be able to stay the destroyer.  

Mrs. White had resided here a comparatively short time, but she had many 
friends, and she will be greatly missed, and our sympathies go out to her 
bereaved husband and relatives.
