MRS. MARTHA WHITFORD
Mrs. Martha Schultz Whitford, 80, of 116 West Isabelle street, Belding, died May 28
at Belding Community hospital after a lingering illness.

She was born in Ionia, May 28, 1886. A lifetime resident of Ionia county, she was
married in 1906 to L. J.  Whitford who died in 1953. She was a member of Belding Seventh Day 
Adventist church.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Mary Lou Fountaine of Reseda, Calif., Mrs.  Bush
of Belding. Mrs. Alice Lambertsomn of Greeville, and Mrs. Lucile Briggson of Dexter;
four sons, Herman of Marine City, Orlo of Phoenix, Ariz, Walter of Bakersfield, Calif.,
and Theodore of Orleans; one brother, Herman Schultz of Grand Rapids, 16 grandchildren
and 17 great-grandchildren.

Services were at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Huffman funeral home in Belding with burial in
Orleans cemetery. Elder Clarence E. Larsen officiated.
