Services Held for Harold F. Whiting

Harold F. Whiting, 68, passed away unexpectedly late Monday night at his 
residence at 523 Eagle Point.

He was born Sept. 10, 1903, in the Dimondale area, the son of Henry and Fannie 
(Rood) Whiting, and lived in that area until moving to lake Odessa 14 years ago. 
He attended Dimondale High School and had been employed at Oldsmobile at Lansing 
34 years before retiring in 1968.

Mr. Whiting was a member of the Quarter Century Club of Oldsmobile.

He married Bernice Proctor in 1934, who survives. Also two sons, Clifford of 
Lansing and Richard of Saginaw; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; 
a sister Mrs. Walter (Louise) Watson of Des Plaines, Ill., and two brothers, 
Francis of Woodland and Russell of Columbus, Ohio.

Funeral services were held Thursday (today) at 1:30 at Pickens Funeral Chapel, 
Lake Odessa. Rev. Marvin Zimmerman officiated, with burial in Lakeside Cemetery.
