Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Sat. May 16, 2009

Marion R. Whitlock, of Columbus, Ohio, age 84, passed away Thursday, May 14, 
2009.

She was a long time resident of Ionia County, but resided in Columbus for the 
last several years. She was born on March 20, 1925 in Ionia to the late Kurt 
and Josephine Mathe and she married Harold W. Whitlock on Aug. 19, 1950.

She is survived by her son Michael (Melody) Whitlock and her daughter Christine 
(Daniel) Hubbard, three grandsons Scott (Karen) Whitlock, Brian Whitlock and 
John Hubbard and sisters Charlotte Gibbs and Helen Maliewski.

Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Harold and brothers Robert and 
Richard Mathe.

Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. David Bogda at 11 a.m., Monday, May 
18, 2009 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 Bridge St., Portland. 
Interment will follow at Portland Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1-5 
p.m., Sunday, May 17, 2009 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial 
contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association or Wesley Glen 
Charitable Fund, 5155 N. High St., Columbus, OH 43214 in memory of Marion.
