Ionia County News – Thursday, 11 December 1924
Mrs. Albert Whitmore died Friday afternoon.  She is survived by her husband 
and three children, 10, 8 and 4 years old respectively.  The remains were 
taken to Hilliards, Allegan County for burial.  Rose Adams was her maiden name 
and she was born at Hilliards 34 years ago.  While she was working in Grand 
Rapids, 12 years ago, she married Mr. Whitmore.  They came to Portland six 
years ago, residing on the north side.  Funeral services will be held at the 
Catholic Church at Hilliards and a requiem high mass will be said at St. 
Patrick’s church Tuesday morning.
