Whitney, at family residence on West Main Street, yesterday afternoon, was largely attended by neighbors and friends. The remarks by Rev. M. L. Fox were largely personal, illustrating the characteristics which made decedent an admirable and honored personage in the community. The singing was by Miss Pearl Freemen. There was an abundance of floral testimonials. The G. A. R. post turned out as a body, and acted as escort in the funeral procession. The bearers were: W. L. Soule, A. S. Wright, Walter T. Smith, D. A. Jepson, J. J. Culp, and Henry Voelker.
