IONIA- Jack L. Whitney, 79, of Ionia, passed away Sept. 29, 2012 in Belding.

He was born Sept. 14, 1933, in Belding, the son of Clifford and Olive (Price) 
Whitney.

Jack served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He married Tressa, August 
1, 1967. Jack worked for General Motors for 30 years before retiring. He loved 
to ride motorcycles and repair watches.

Jack is survived by his loving wife Tressa Whitney of Ionia; Children, Jack 
Whitney and wife of Alma, Cynthia (Art) Wiles of Ionia and Debra (Rick) Daly of 
Georgia; 15 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia 
with Pastor Kenneth Harger officiating. Interment to follow at Balcom Cemetery.

Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
