Tressa I. Whitney, age 81, of Ionia, passed away Dec. 15, 2015, in Carson City.
 She was born Sept. 9, 1934, in Ionia, the daughter of Joseph and Lettie
(Chandler) Sawtell.  Tressa married Jack Whitney Aug. 1, 1967.  He preceded her
in death in 2012.  

Tressa is survived by her children, Debra (Rick) Daly of Georgia, Cynthia (Art)
Wiles of Ionia and Jack Whitney Jr.; brother, Joseph Sawtell Jr. of Ionia;
half-brother, Michael (Rose) Miles of Six Lakes; and 15 grandchildren and nine
great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, June
Mileski; brother, Art Sawtell and half-brother, David Miles.

Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, 2015, at Lake Funeral Home
in Ionia with Pastor Kenneth Harger officiating.  Interment Balcom Cemetery. 
Visitation will be Sunday 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home.
