Ira Whittemore Passed Away

Ira Whittemore, 89, 1504 Harrison St, passed away Tuesday night at Pennock 
hospital. He was taken to Blodgett hospital, January 13 and transferred to 
Pennock last Friday.

Mr. Whittemore, a native of Ohio has been a local resident for many years and 
for the last six years or more has resided at the home of Mrs.Hester Yarger.

His first wife Mary passed away in 1939 and several years later he married Agnes 
Kellogg and she passed away about eight years ago.

Mr.Whittemore, spent a year in California after the death of his second wife and 
then returned to sell his home on First Avenue and since then had lived at the 
Yarger home.

He was well known in the surrounding areas, as was a sheep shearer for many 
years.

Surviving are his daughter mrs.Milo (Frances) Kussmaul of Gardens, California.

Mr.Whittemore reposes at the Pickens Funeral Capel. Funeral services will be 
held Friday at 1:30 with burial in Lakeside cemetery.
