Lyons Herald, 4 Jan 1912

Walter W. Whitten died Sunday, at his home, three miles east of Lyons, aged 59 
years, 10 months and 6 days.  The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon, conducted 
by Rev. W. W. Hurd.  Interment in the Lyons cemetery.
