Ionia Daily Sentinel, 18 Sep 1954

Charles T. Whorley, 64, Grand Rapids, died Friday morning at 9:30 at St. Mary’s 
Hospital following a long illness.
He was born on Kimball court in Ionia, February 18, 1890, the son of Oscar and 
Diane Whorley and was a resident of Ionia for about 50 years and he operated a 
meat business with his father.  He moved to Grand Rapids about 15 years ago and 
operated a grocery store there.

Surviving are his wife, Gertrude, one brother, William Whorley, of Ionia and 
several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the VanderPool 
funeral chapel in Grand Rapids.  Interment will be at Easton cemetery.
