BELDING- Maude Whorley 95, of 10 Belhaven, Belding, died Saturday at 
Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids.

Born Aug. 6, 1892, in Grattan, she was the daughter of Julian and Mary 
McNaughton Osmer.

She was married Aug. 12, 1914 to James Dickson; he died in 1954.

She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Belding, the church’s 
women’s circle, and the Belhaven kitchen band. 

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Stephen (Ila) Sparks of Saranac, a son Donald 
Dickson of Weidman, 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; a brother, 
Raymond Osmer of Conklin.

She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Dickson, in April 1966 and a 
daughter, Keitha Joslin in September 1972; and two sisters.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. from the Johnson funeral Home, 
Belding, with the Rev. Kendall Downing of First Congregational Church, Belding, 
officiating.

Burial will be in River Ridge Cemetery.

Visitors may call after 2 p.m. Monday, The family will be at the funeral home 
from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.
