Oct. 25, 1932 Oscar C. Whorley, 78, of 525 High street, died at his home shortly after noon Tuesday, following a long illness. He was a native of Coburg, Can., but came to the vicinity of Easton when a small child, and had lived in this vicinity since. He had lived in his present home for 40 years. For a time he was an Ionia meat dealer, with his stock located in the building now the Jones market. He leaves the widow, Mae Whorley; two sons, William and Charles, of Easton; two half-brothers, Henry, of Sebewa, and George, of Lansing; three grandsons. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. M. W. Duffey at the Stebbins funeral home at 2 o’clock Thursday, October 27. Burial will be in the Highland Park cemetery.
