Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Thurs. Jan. 15, 1931

Mrs. George Whorley, about 65, of Lansing, formerly of Ionia, died Tuesday of a 
long illness of heart disease and rheumatism. The funeral services will be 
conducted from the Gorsline – Runciman funeral home in Lansing Friday afternoon 
at 2 o’clock. The burial will be in the Mt. Hope cemetery. Mrs. Whorley lived 
here for years while her husband conducted a meat market in the store building 
now the Jones Market. 

Her husband and a daughter, Mrs. Jesse Hosford, of Lansing, survive.
