Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 4 May 1954

Funeral services for Royce L. Whorley, 62, who died suddenly Monday morning from
a heart attack, will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 at the First Methodist
church.  Services will be in charge of the Rev. Heath Goodwin.  The body will
repose at the Stone-Kauffman funeral home until noon Thursday.  Burial will be
in the Easton cemetery.

He was born Oct. 26, 1891, at Bay City the son of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Whorley. 
He resided there until he was 10 years of age and then moved to Easton township,
Ionia county.  

Mr. Whorley was married to Hazel Loomis who died in 1950.  In 1953 he was
married to Maude Dixon who survives him.  He is also survived by one brother,
Willis of Bronson, and a sister, Mrs. Lester Rachofsky of New York City, besides
his son, John of Lansing, and a daughter, Joyce of Grand Haven.
