Hubert G. Whorley, 99, of Saranac passed away July 18, 2012. He was born Feb. 
10, 1913 in Ionia, the son of William and Ida (Crosthwaite) Whorley.

Hubert married Wilma Bennett May 8, 1943 in Ionia. She preceded him in death on 
Nov. 7, 1984. He played the Harmonica for Commission on Aging.

Hubert is survived by his children, Marie (Michael) Miller of Kalamazoo, Susan 
(Keith) Ingraham of Saranac, Herbert Whorley of Saranac and Joseph (Colleen) 
Whorley of Ionia; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-
great-grandchild.

He is preceded in death by two brothers and one granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 24 at Lowell First 
Baptist Church with Rev. Ronald Tuinstra and Rev. Burland Margesson. Interment 
Easton Cemetery. Visitation 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.
