Ionia Sentinel Standard, 1 May 1940

Word was received of the death of George Whorley, former Ionia meat market 
operator, about 45 years ago, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Jessie 
Hosford, in Lansing, Monday, April 29.

He is survived by the daughter, Mrs. Hosford, and one brother, Henry of Sebewa, 
and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held from the Gorsline-Runciman funeral home in 
Lansing, Friday afternoon, May 3, at 2:30 o’clock.
