The Ionia County News, Thursday, December 7, 1950
Mrs. Carrie Whorley, 72, of Sebewa Center, died Friday: Death at the home of 
friends, Mr. and Mrs. John York of Lake Odessa.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Eva Cook of Oklahoma and a brother, Ben 
Smith of Michigan.  Also several nieces and nephews.

Rev. Merle Benson officiated at the funeral service held Monday afternoon from 
Mapes Funeral Home, Sunfield.  Burial was in East Sebewa Cemetery.
