The Lake Odessa Wave, Wednesday, May 4, 1904


Little Ralph Theodore Whorley, born on May 4th, 1903, was the only child of 
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Whorley of Sebewa and his death, which occurred on April 
29th, 1904, is deeply mourned by his stricken parents.  He was a very bright 
child with such bright winning ways that all who knew him loved him dearly.  
His untimely death is sadly mourned by hosts of relatives and friends.  The 
funeral was held at the Sebewa Center church and was largely attended, Rev. 
Laing officiating.  Interment was made in the Sebewa cemetery.

The sympathy of the entire community is with the parents in their bereavement 
and at this time they find their comfort in knowing that in his last long 
sleep, little Ralph is asleep in the arms of Him who said: “Suffer little 
children to come unto me and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of 
Heaven.”
